YouTube Keyword Alerts: Get Notified of New Videos About Any Topic
Get an alert when a new YouTube video mentions your brand, a product or a topic. Setup, filter tips and costs.
Short answer: YouTube can't alert you about a keyword, and Google Alerts rarely includes videos. Create a YouTube search monitor in AyeWatch. Each check searches videos uploaded today, and you get an alert when new ones match.
Set it up
- Open Create a monitor → YouTube.
- In Monitor, choose Search.
- Type what you would type into YouTube search, like
iPhone 18 reviewor your brand name. - Optional: add a filter in Only alert me about, like "full reviews, not unboxing shorts".
- Pick how often to check and click Create monitor.

Good uses
- Reviews and tutorials of your product, so you can reply or share them.
- Competitor names plus "vs" or "alternative".
- A topic you research, without scrolling YouTube every day.
What you get
The first check saves the current posts as a starting point, so you are not flooded with old ones. After that, every check that finds something new sends one alert. The headline is the post itself, or "3 new from …" when several land at once, with a link to each post and its text.

Alerts land in your feed and as push in the AyeWatch iOS and Android app. On Pro and Pro+ you can also turn on email, Slack, or a webhook.
What it costs
A YouTube search check uses 1 credit, or 2 with the filter. A daily check is about 30 credits a month. Checking a few times a day is about 120.
Plans: Free Preview gives you 3 credits to try a monitor on a daily check. Pro is $9 a month for 500 credits and checks as often as hourly. Pro+ is $19 a month for 1,500 credits and adds ASAP mode. Failed checks are refunded, and the form shows the exact daily credit use before you save.
It finds what YouTube search finds. It doesn't read comments. To follow one channel, use channel upload alerts or live stream alerts.
FAQ
Does Google Alerts work for YouTube?
Rarely. Google Alerts is built around web pages and news, so most new videos never show up. A YouTube search monitor searches YouTube directly.
Does it search inside the video?
It matches what YouTube search matches, mostly titles and descriptions. Add a filter to keep only videos that are really about your topic.
Can I get the alert by email?
Yes, on Pro and Pro+. Free Preview delivers to the feed and the mobile app.
