Reddit RSS Feeds: URLs for Subreddits, Searches and Users
The exact Reddit RSS URLs for a subreddit's new posts, a search, or a user, why they get blocked, and how to get the same posts as filtered alerts instead.
Short answer: add .rss to most Reddit URLs. For a subreddit's newest posts, use https://www.reddit.com/r/NAME/new/.rss. These feeds still exist, but Reddit often blocks feed readers, and they can't filter. If you want the posts as alerts, with only the relevant ones, use an AyeWatch Reddit monitor.

Why Reddit RSS stops working
- Reddit answers many feed readers with 403 or 429 errors, especially readers running on cloud servers.
- Feeds return the last 25 or so items. A busy subreddit can push posts out between polls.
- There's no filter. A keyword feed gives you every match, including the noise.
The alert version
- Open Create a monitor → Reddit.
- Pick the mode that matches your feed: Subreddit, Search, Search in subreddit or User.
- Paste the subreddit or user link, or type the query. Add Only alert me about to keep only relevant posts.
- Pick a schedule and click Create monitor.
What you get
