How to Get Notified When Someone Posts on LinkedIn

Get an email, push or Slack alert when a person or company posts on LinkedIn, or when anyone posts about a keyword.

By AyeWatch Team··4 min read

Short answer: on LinkedIn you can ring the bell on some profiles to hear about their posts, but it shows up only in LinkedIn's busy notification tab, and company pages give you even less control. To get a clean alert by email, push or Slack when a specific person or company posts, create a LinkedIn monitor in AyeWatch.

Alert when a person posts

  1. Open Create a monitor → LinkedIn.
  2. In Monitor, choose Person posts.
  3. Paste the profile link, like https://www.linkedin.com/in/satyanadella/.
  4. Click Create monitor. It starts on a daily check.

LinkedIn → Person posts. 8 credits per check, daily by default.

Person posts are the most expensive source to read, at 8 credits a check, so they default to daily. That is 240 credits a month, which fits on Pro.

Alert when a company posts

Choose Company posts and paste the company page link, like https://www.linkedin.com/company/stripe/. It costs 2 credits a check. Add a filter like "product launches or pricing changes" to skip hiring posts and culture content.

Alert when anyone posts about a keyword

Choose Post search and type the words, like "series A" fintech. Each check looks at posts from the last day. It costs 2 credits a check. This is the way to track mentions of your brand or a competitor on LinkedIn.

What you get

The first check saves the current posts as a starting point, so you are not flooded with old ones. After that, every check that finds something new sends one alert. The headline is the post itself, or "3 new from …" when several land at once, with a link to each post and its text.

Alerts land in your feed and as push in the AyeWatch iOS and Android app. On Pro and Pro+ you can also turn on email, Slack, or a webhook.

FAQ

Will the person see that I viewed their profile?

No. AyeWatch doesn't use your LinkedIn account, so no profile view shows up under your name.

Why does Person posts cost 8 credits?

Reading a person's full posts costs more than other sources. That's why the mode defaults to a daily check, which is 8 credits a day.

Can I get LinkedIn post alerts by email?

Yes, on Pro and Pro+. Free Preview delivers to the AyeWatch feed and mobile app.
