Get Notified When a Channel Posts a YouTube Short
YouTube's bell doesn't reliably notify you about Shorts. Get a push or email when a channel posts a new Short, separate from its long videos.
Short answer: YouTube often doesn't send bell notifications for Shorts. Create an AyeWatch YouTube monitor in Shorts mode with the channel link, and you get a push or email for each new Short. Long videos and lives stay out of it unless you add their own monitors.
Set it up
- Open Create a monitor → YouTube.
- In Monitor, choose Shorts.
- Paste the channel link, like
https://www.youtube.com/@MrBeast. - Pick how often to check and click Create monitor.

What you get
The first check saves the current posts as a starting point, so you are not flooded with old ones. After that, every check that finds something new sends one alert. The headline is the post itself, or "3 new from …" when several land at once, with a link to each post and its text.

Alerts land in your feed and as push in the AyeWatch iOS and Android app. On Pro and Pro+ you can also turn on email, Slack, or a webhook.
What it costs
Shorts is 2 credits a check.
| Check every | Credits a day | Plan that fits |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | 2 | Free Preview to try it, then Pro |
| A few times a day | 8 | Pro |
| Hourly | 48 | Pro+ |
Plans: Free Preview gives you 3 credits to try a monitor on a daily check. Pro is $9 a month for 500 credits and checks as often as hourly. Pro+ is $19 a month for 1,500 credits and adds ASAP mode. Failed checks are refunded, and the form shows the exact daily credit use before you save.
FAQ
Why am I not getting notified of YouTube Shorts?
YouTube decides which uploads get a bell notification, and Shorts are often skipped. A Shorts monitor checks the channel's Shorts tab directly.
Can I get Shorts and long videos in one monitor?
No, one mode per monitor. Create a Channel videos monitor alongside it.
Can I get Shorts about a topic, not a channel?
YouTube Search covers new videos for a query, and you can add a filter. See YouTube keyword alerts.
