How to Get Notified When a Reddit User Posts
Get an alert when a specific Reddit user submits a new post, without following them or checking their profile.
Short answer: following a user on Reddit puts their posts in your feed, but there is no dependable alert when they post. To get a push, email or Slack alert for each new post from a Reddit user, create a Reddit user monitor in AyeWatch.
Set it up
- Open Create a monitor → Reddit.
- In Monitor, choose User.
- Paste the profile link, like
https://www.reddit.com/user/spez/./u/links work too. - Optional: add Only alert me about, like "posts about a new release".
- Pick how often to check and click Create monitor.

What you get
The first check saves the current posts as a starting point, so you are not flooded with old ones. After that, every check that finds something new sends one alert. The headline is the post itself, or "3 new from …" when several land at once, with a link to each post and its text.

It tracks posts the user submits. Comments are not included.
Alerts land in your feed and as push in the AyeWatch iOS and Android app. On Pro and Pro+ you can also turn on email, Slack, or a webhook.

FAQ
Will the Reddit user know?
No. AyeWatch reads their public profile. You don't follow them.
Does it include the user's comments?
No, only new posts they submit.
What happens if the account is deleted or suspended?
The monitor shows that Reddit couldn't find the source and turns off, so you don't spend credits on a dead account.
