Webpage Monitor

A webpage monitor watches one URL and tells you what changed, not that a pixel moved. That distinction is the whole market. Screenshot tools sell the overlay. DOM tools sell the selector. A reader sells the summary.

Most pages you care about are boring until they are not. Pricing sits still for months, then a digit moves on a Thursday. A jobs index is empty, then the role you wanted is live for six hours. Refreshing is a tax. A monitor is the receipt.

One page, one rule

Paste the URL. Name the substance. "The listed price, the SKU availability, or the headline." Leave the hero image and the chat widget out of the rule. AyeWatch summarizes the delta in English. Distill will still be better if you already maintain XPath recipes and like that workflow.

When one URL is enough

If you only need one stubborn page, do not buy a CI suite. Watch the URL. If you later need the same change mentioned in news or Reddit, add a topic. That is optional. The webpage monitor stands alone.

Start with HTTPS. Login walls are out of scope. If the first summary is a change you would have noticed yourself, keep the watch. If it is a banner, tighten the rule. A webpage monitor is a habit replacement, not a crawl of the whole domain. Point at the URL that already costs you a morning tab.
