Short answer: TikTok's search ranks videos by relevance, and it can't alert you when a new one matches. An AyeWatch TikTok Search monitor reads the last day's videos for your search, newest first, and alerts you to each new match. It's 1 credit a check.
Set it up
- Open Create a monitor → TikTok and choose Search.
- Type the words, like
skincare routine. - Optional: add Only alert me about, like "videos that review a product". It adds 1 credit a check.
- Pick a schedule and click Create monitor.
What you get
The first check sends up to 5 of the latest posts, or only the ones that match your filter, so you can see what the monitor finds without a flood of old ones. After that, every check that finds something new sends one alert. The headline is the post itself, or "3 new from …" when several land at once, with a link to each post and its text.
Each video shows its caption without the hashtags, its views, likes and comments, a cover image, and a link.
Alerts land in your feed and as push in the AyeWatch iOS and Android app. On Pro and Pro+ you can also turn on email, Slack, or a webhook.
Search, Hashtag or Profile?
- Search: words in captions and text, hashtag or not.
- Hashtag: videos tagged with one hashtag.
- Profile: every new video from one creator.
For your own brand, see TikTok brand monitoring.
What it costs
TikTok search is 1 credit a check, 2 with the filter.
