Keyword Alert Tool
Keywords fire on strings. Semantic watches fire on meaning. That is why one inbox is loud and the other is quiet.

A keyword alert tool fires on strings. Semantic monitoring fires on meaning, which is why inboxes stay quiet.
I like keyword tools when the string is rare. A unique product codename. A docket number. A misspelling you actually need to catch. The tool is doing arithmetic. The token appeared. You get mail. That is a clean job.
The job falls apart on ordinary language. "Apple" is a company and a fruit. "Charge" is a battery, a price, and an indictment. "Launch" is a rocket, a product, and a boat. Google Alerts will send you all of them if you asked for the word. Then you train yourself to ignore the folder. Then you miss the one hit that was real. That is alert fatigue with extra steps. See alert fatigue if that folder is already a joke.
Strings vs meaning
A semantic watch starts with a sentence. "New pricing or packaging changes from this competitor. Ignore event sponsorships and hiring posts." The model reads the new page or story against that sentence. A headline that uses none of your keywords can still match. A headline that uses all of them can still fail. That reversal is the point.
AyeWatch is that watch for pages and topics. It is not a better Boolean builder. If you love operators and you have a legal string that must match exactly, keep the keyword tool. If you are rewriting the Boolean every week because the world found new synonyms, you are doing the model's job by hand. Semantic vs keyword is the longer contrast. Google Alerts alternative and vs Google Alerts are the product-shaped versions.
Why the inbox fills up
Keyword tools have no memory of the story. Ten outlets repeat the same phrase. You get ten mails. Semantic monitoring can collapse that to one useful ping plus a summary. It can still miss, or double-fire, if you wrote a greedy rule. The quiet inbox is earned by the rule, not by a slogan.
Free Preview is six lifetime runs across three topics, Daily or slower, push and in-app. Pro is $9 a month. Use Slack or email on paid plans if that is where you already triage. Do not pipe a wide keyword into Slack and then blame the channel.

Try AyeWatch freeWhen a keyword tool is enough
Keep Google Alerts or any string matcher for casual email on a rare token. Keep it for vanity name watches if you enjoy the drip. Switch when you need a URL watched, a summary, or a channel that is not Gmail. AyeWatch will not become Distill's XPath picker or Visualping's overlay. It reads the page. That is a different instrument.
Pick the noisiest keyword you still open. Rewrite it as a sentence. Run it once. If the summary is the story you wanted, retire the string.
