Instagram Hashtag Tracker: Get Alerts for New Posts and Reels

Short answer: Instagram has no hashtag alerts. Create an Instagram hashtag monitor in AyeWatch and get an alert with a link to each new post that uses the tag. Before you start, know the limits: there is no mode for one Instagram account, and it doesn't measure reach.

Track a hashtag

1. Open Create a monitor → Instagram.
2. In Monitor, choose Hashtag.
3. Type one hashtag, like #streetphotography. One word, no spaces.
4. Pick how often to check and click Create monitor.

Instagram Search finds reels from the last week that match your words, like "street photography", hashtag or not. It also costs 2 credits a check.

What you get

The first check saves the current posts as a starting point, so you are not flooded with old ones. After that, every check that finds something new sends one alert. The headline is the post itself, or "3 new from …" when several land at once, with a link to each post and its text.

Alerts land in your feed and as push in the AyeWatch iOS and Android app. On Pro and Pro+ you can also turn on email, Slack, or a webhook.

What it costs

Both modes use 2 credits a check, and the Only alert me about filter adds 1. A daily check uses about 60 credits a month, so Pro's 500 credits cover several hashtags.

Plans: Free Preview gives you 3 credits to try a monitor on a daily check. Pro is $9 a month for 500 credits and checks as often as hourly. Pro+ is $19 a month for 1,500 credits and adds ASAP mode. Failed checks are refunded, and the form shows the exact daily credit use before you save.

What it doesn't do

• No alerts for one person's or brand's posts. Instagram account monitoring isn't supported.
• No reach, likes or follower charts.
• Instagram's own search decides which posts it shows, so very large tags won't return every post.
