Track Giveaway Entries on a Hashtag
Running a hashtag giveaway on Instagram or TikTok? Get every new entry post in one feed as it's posted, without searching the tag every day.
Short answer: if your giveaway asks people to post with a hashtag, create an AyeWatch Instagram Hashtag monitor for it, like #lumengiveaway. Each new entry post arrives as an alert with a link, so you collect entries as they come in. It tracks hashtag posts, not comments, and it doesn't pick a winner.
Set it up
- Open Create a monitor → Instagram and choose Hashtag.
- Type your giveaway hashtag. Make it unique so other posts don't mix in.
- Pick A few times a day and click Create monitor.
- Running it on TikTok too? Add a TikTok → Hashtag monitor with the same tag.

What you get
The first check saves the current posts as a starting point, so you are not flooded with old ones. After that, every check that finds something new sends one alert. The headline is the post itself, or "3 new from …" when several land at once, with a link to each post and its text.

Turn on a webhook on Pro or Pro+ to send every entry to a spreadsheet, then draw the winner from that list.
Alerts land in your feed and as push in the AyeWatch iOS and Android app. On Pro and Pro+ you can also turn on email, Slack, or a webhook.
What it costs
An Instagram or TikTok hashtag check is 2 credits.
| Check every | Credits a day | Plan that fits |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | 2 | Free Preview to try it, then Pro |
| Twice a day | 4 | Pro |
| A few times a day | 8 | Pro |
Plans: Free Preview gives you 3 credits to try a monitor on a daily check. Pro is $9 a month for 500 credits and checks as often as hourly. Pro+ is $19 a month for 1,500 credits and adds ASAP mode. Failed checks are refunded, and the form shows the exact daily credit use before you save.
What it doesn't do
- Comment-to-enter giveaways: comments aren't read.
- Private accounts: their posts never show up.
- Winner picking or rule checking.
FAQ
Will it catch every entry?
It catches public posts that Instagram returns for the hashtag. Posts from private accounts, and posts Instagram hides from hashtag results, won't appear.
Can I track a giveaway that runs on comments?
No. Comment monitoring isn't supported.
How long should I run it?
For the giveaway window plus a day. Turn the monitor off after, so it stops using credits.
