SERP Monitoring
Watch competitor title, meta, and page copy. This is not an Ahrefs rank tracker.

SERP monitoring here means watching competitor title, meta, and copy changes, not a rank-tracker suite.
People search "SERP monitoring" when they want ranks. Ahrefs, Semrush, and similar tools already sell that. AyeWatch does not. It will not tell you that you moved from position 4 to 7. It will tell you that a rival rewrote the title tag, the meta description, or the H1 on a URL you named. That is often the move that precedes a ranking fight. It is still a page watch.
Watch the page that is trying to rank
Paste the competitor URL. Write "alert when title, meta description, H1, or primary body copy changes. Ignore cookie banners and related-posts widgets." You get a summary of the new claim, not a pixel diff of the header. If they launch a new comparison URL, that is a new watch. Competitor product launch monitoring covers the rest of the site. Algorithm chatter is a different topic, under platform algorithm change monitoring.
AyeWatch is not a rank tracker. It is not crawl-budget software. It does not store a SERP archive. If you need historical positions, keep Ahrefs. If you need to know they swapped "best X for Y" into the title last night, paste the URL here. Marketing setup lives on AyeWatch for marketing.
Titles are strategy, not chrome
A title change is a positioning change. So is a new comparison slug. Treat those like product news. Route them to whoever owns SERP copy, not to engineering Slack. Reddit threads about "this tool used to rank" can ride along via Reddit brand mentions if you care about the gossip. Public-page OSINT is OSINT AI monitoring.

Google result pages are personalized, logged-in, and hostile to boring monitors. Watching google.com/search?q=... is a bad plan. Watch the competitor's own page. Watch Search Central and SEO pubs for algorithm news. Leave the rank graph to the suite you already pay for.
One rival URL is the test
Pick the page you lose to most. Watch it for two weeks. The useful alert quotes the new title or the new promise in the hero. If you get layout noise, tighten the rule. Then add the next URL. That is SERP monitoring in this product, on purpose, without pretending to be Ahrefs.
