Reputation Monitoring Tool

Use an early-warning feed for criticism, not a chart of likes, so a complaint is still a thread when you see it.

A reputation monitoring tool is an early-warning feed for criticism, not a vanity dashboard of likes. If the main number on the screen is sentiment score, you bought a mood ring. The useful object is the URL that just called your refund policy a scam.

Likes lag. By the time a dashboard turns red, the story has a headline and a comment section. Comms teams do not need another average. They need the first sharp page, the claim it makes, and enough time to check whether it is true.

Criticism is the signal

Watch for accusations, recalls, lawsuits, boycott language, "never again" reviews, and reporters asking whether you knew. Watch the exec by name when the piece is about conduct, not when someone lists them as a conference speaker. Skip praise roundups unless you have spare topics. Praise does not page you at 11pm. A thread can.

AyeWatch matches a topic you write in plain English, then summarizes the page. That is closer to a junior who reads the internet for you than a share-of-voice chart. It is not a social listening suite. Read social listening vs AI monitoring if you still need platform engagement numbers. Those live in APIs AyeWatch does not sell.

How early warning looks in practice

Hour zero is a forum post or a trade blog. Hour six is a reporter who found that post. Hour twenty-four is a national desk. A reputation tool that checks Daily can still beat a weekly clip pack. A 6-hour Pro cadence is the point at which you stop relying on a colleague who "happened to see it." Hourly on Pro+ is for desks that already have a person ready to reply.

Free Preview is six lifetime runs, three topics, Daily or slower, push and in-app. Use it to prove the summaries name the actual complaint. Then put email or Slack on a paid plan so the person who can answer is in the thread, not hunting a phone notification they dismissed.

The first three topics

One: the company plus criticism, complaint, lawsuit, recall. Two: the CEO in news, skip awards. Three: a product that already attracts angry reviews. If you hire creators, add a later topic for the names you pay, or use a dedicated influencer risk watch. AyeWatch will not score an influencer's audience. It will tell you when their name hits a news page you can read.

What likes still do better

Campaign reporting still wants reach, share of voice, and a chart your CMO recognizes. Buy that from Brandwatch or Sprout if you need it. AyeWatch will not replace it. AyeWatch also will not staff a war room. The feed is the warning. The response is still a person with facts and a phone.
