Layoff Tracker

8-Ks, WARN notices, and company blogs. Not a screenshot of a tweet.

A layoff tracker watches 8-Ks, WARN notices, and company blogs for cuts, not Twitter screenshots.

Cuts show up as Item 2.05 or 5.02 8-Ks, as state WARN filings, and as posts on the company newsroom. They also show up as screenshots with no source. The screenshot is how rumors travel. The filing is how you know it happened.

If your tracker is a social account that never cites a document, you are collecting panic, not facts.

Where cuts actually appear

Public companies often file. Private companies often hit WARN first, then a local paper. Some only update a blog with "restructuring" language. Watch the 8-K, the state WARN portals you care about, and the newsroom URLs for names in the book.

AyeWatch summarizes those public pages and topics. It is not a headcount census. It is not Bloomberg. It will not tell you the exact number if the filing does not. It will tell you a named company posted a cut, a WARN, or a restructuring note.

Screenshots lie

Write the topic to reject unsourced social posts. "Alert me when these companies file an 8-K about layoffs or restructuring, when a WARN posts, or when the company blog announces cuts. Ignore unattributed screenshots and old roundups."

Hiring on the same names is the other half of the picture. Pair this with competitor hiring monitoring. Filing mechanics sit in SEC filing monitoring.

How to track names

List issuers. Paste IR and careers if you also want "we are growing" contradiction. Paste the WARN pages for states where those companies actually employ people. Push for names you hold. Email for a sector sweep.

Free Preview is six lifetime runs across three topics. Pro is $9 a month. ASAP is rarely required unless you trade the print. Most of these documents can wait an hour. They should not wait for a viral thread.

What to pair it with

Deal-driven cuts show up next to M&A monitoring. Investor setup is /for/investors. Start with one employer you already gossip about. If the first ping cites an 8-K or a WARN, you have a tracker. If it cites a tweet, tighten the topic until it stops.
