Hiring Signal Alerts
A new role is roadmap. Watch the careers page, not a LinkedIn scrape, and get a short ping.

Hiring signal alerts treat a careers page as strategy: new roles are roadmap, not HR trivia.
Ten enterprise AEs after two years of self-serve is a bet. A first Head of Security is a bet. A sudden cluster of mobile engineers is a bet. HR thinks this is staffing. Product should read it as the next two quarters.
AyeWatch watches the public careers URL or a topic about named roles. It is not LinkedIn scraping. It will not pull employee graphs. Greenhouse, Lever, a /careers HTML page. That is the source. Product already suspects this. They still find out when a customer mentions a new competitor team, or when a recruiter forwards a listing as gossip. A watch on the board is cheaper than that.
Roles are roadmap
Write the rule so intern season does not page you. "Alert on new director, VP, or specialized IC roles in sales, security, AI, or a new geography. Ignore generic SDR backfills and campus posts." A FedRAMP hire is not a backfill. A "founding engineer, data plane" role is not a backfill.
The research post is monitor competitor hiring. Launches often show up here first, which is why it sits next to product launch monitoring. Founders reading a peer should use pivot signal monitoring when the whole board shifts, not one title. Sales can reuse the same careers watch as a trigger. See sales trigger monitoring.
What to ignore
Boards reshuffle. Locations duplicate. A "we're hiring" banner is not a signal. The signal is a role that did not exist, in a function they had not staffed. Put that in the rule or you will mute the topic by Friday.
AyeWatch for founders and the competitor monitoring template are enough to bind a company to a careers URL. Sales should watch prospect boards the same way, not only competitors.

Free Preview is six lifetime runs across three topics. No card. One Greenhouse board is a fair test. Pro is $9/month. Daily is usually enough. Push if a VP-level posting should hit the same day.
Start with the competitor who already hired into your category while you were in a planning doc. If the first ping names a role you would have argued about, add the next board.
