EDGAR Alerts
Watch public SEC filing pages for 8-Ks, S-1s, 13Ds, and Form 4s you named.

EDGAR alerts watch SEC filings as they publish: 8-Ks, S-1s, 13Ds, Form 4s.
EDGAR is the public shelf. Companies put the paper there. Everyone else argues about it later. The useful product is a watch on the pages and topics you actually follow, with a summary in English, not a second terminal blinking 4,000 accessions a day.
Most people "watch EDGAR" by starring a ticker in a free email from the SEC, then muting it when the junk arrives. That is a mailbox, not a desk.
Which forms to name
8-Ks are the material-event drum. S-1s are the IPO registration. 13Ds are activist stakes crossing the public line. Form 4s are insider trades, most of them noise, a few of them real buys. You can watch all of those as topics, or pin the EDGAR search and company filing index URLs you already keep in a bookmark folder.
AyeWatch summarizes the public filing and the coverage that quotes it. It is not a Bloomberg EDGAR workstation. It does not promise every amendment the second the bytes land. It watches the pages and stories you point at, then tells you what showed up.
Pages, not a terminal
If you need raw XML, full-text search across the entire corpus, and a heat map of every 13F line, buy the vendor that sells that. If you need "tell me when these five filers drop an 8-K or a 13D, and skip the compensation exhibit," you want a topic monitor.
Paste the company CIK search URL. Name the forms. Write the filter like you would Slack a colleague. Push if the filing window is the job. Email if it can wait until morning.

Free Preview is six lifetime runs across three topics. That is enough to prove the watch on one concentrated book. Pro is $9 a month when the list grows. Max and Ultra add ASAP for names where the hour matters.
Setup lives on AyeWatch for investors. Filing recipes live under templates. The long map of form types is SEC filing monitoring.
Limits worth knowing
This is public information. It is not MNPI. A summary is not a substitute for reading the filing. If the alert is useful, open the document before you do anything else.
Pair Form 4 noise-cutting with insider buying Form 4 alerts. Pair new registrations with IPO filing news alerts. One EDGAR topic per job beats one topic that tries to swallow the whole database.
