Earnings Alerts
The 8-K, the call coverage, and the guidance wording. Not a date on a calendar.

Earnings alerts are the 8-K, the call, and the guidance language, not a calendar reminder.
You already know the date. Yahoo will remind you. The useful ping is that the 8-K is up, the release is public, and the words around margin, demand, or outlook actually changed. That is what moves a name after hours. A calendar invite does not.
If your "earnings alert" is "NVDA reports in three days," you bought a clock. Buy a watch on the documents instead.
Calendar vs the filing
Item 2.02 8-Ks carry the release. IR pages post the deck. Transcript sites post the call. AyeWatch watches those public pages and the coverage that quotes them. It summarizes what was filed and what the language did. It is not a transcript terminal. It is not Bloomberg. It will not stream the audio into your pocket.
Name the companies. Name the quarter if you want the topic tight. "Alert me when these names drop an earnings 8-K or when coverage quotes a guidance cut or raise. Ignore preview pieces the week before."
Language that moves
Guidance withdrawn. "Softening" in a place they used to say "healthy." A CFO hedging international. Inventory. Backlog. Those are semantic. Keyword tools fire on the word "earnings" 400 times. That is why you stopped reading them.
Pair the filing watch with earnings call alerts if the transcript is the object. Pair with SEC filing monitoring if you also want non-earnings 8-Ks the same week.

After the call
Read the 8-K. Skim the guidance table. Then decide if you care about the call color. The alert is not a recommendation. It is a faster path to the same public paper everyone else will see, just later, in a recap that already chose a headline for you.
