Earned Media Monitoring
Coverage tracking with a clock: who wrote about you, what they claimed, and whether you saw it in time to use it.

Earned media monitoring is coverage tracking: who wrote about you, what they said, and how fast you saw it. Owned media is your blog. Paid media is the ad. Earned is the piece you did not buy and cannot edit after it ships.
Teams mix these up in reports. A bylined feature gets dumped next to a sponsored roundup. Then someone asks why "coverage" did not move pipeline. Separate the watches. AyeWatch is for the pages you do not control. Keep your CMS analytics for the pages you do.
Who, what, and how fast
Who: outlet and writer, when the page makes that obvious. What: the claim, the product named, whether it is a launch story, a takedown, or a passing mention in someone else's scoop. How fast: the gap between publish and the ping. If that gap is a day, you cannot pitch a correction, a follow-up, or a sales email that cites the piece while it is still on the homepage.
AyeWatch summarizes the match. It will not always extract a tidy byline from a messy template. It will not score domain authority. It will not add the clip to a Meltwater binder. Meltwater has a press database AyeWatch does not. Use AyeWatch to see the public page. Use the database if your process legally needs the archive.
Owned and paid are a different job
Do not point a coverage monitor at your own newsroom and call it earned. Do not point it at a paid placement you already scheduled. Point it at the trades, the blogs that steal from the trades, Reddit if that is where buyers argue, and recap sites that turn a podcast into a page. PR media monitoring is the same muscle with staffing notes attached.
Talkwalker-style social analytics will still tell you how a piece traveled on platforms. AyeWatch will not. If share-of-voice on X is the KPI, keep Talkwalker or read a Talkwalker alternative that still speaks API. If the KPI is "did a human write this, and did we see it," stay here.

Try AyeWatch freeHow to set the watch
Describe the launch, the embargo window, the claims you hope they repeat, and the claims you fear. Add exec names if they are on the record. Paste a reporter URL if they post before the print edition. Free Preview: three topics, six lifetime runs, Daily or slower, push and in-app. Pro is $9 a month, 50 topics, 6-hour. Pro+ is 150, hourly. Paid channels are email, Slack, Discord, webhooks, and API.
Speed you can actually buy
Hourly is the fastest AyeWatch plan. That is not a wire. It is fast enough to beat a morning clip pack and slow enough that you should not promise "real time" in a board deck. If a reporter publishes at 12:05 and your check runs at 12:50, you still have the afternoon. That is the job earned media monitoring is for. The rest is vanity timing.
