Activist Investor Alerts

13Ds and campaign letters the day they are public. Not activism think-pieces.

Activist investor alerts are 13Ds and campaign letters, the same day they file.

The campaign is a packet. A 13D. Sometimes a 13D/A. A letter to the board that hits EDGAR as an exhibit or hits the activist's own site. A slide deck. The rest is TV. If your alert is "activists may target this sector," you subscribed to a vibe.

Watch the packet. Ignore the vibe. The letter is often the first thing you can quote without sounding like a rumor account. Read it the same day it is public, then decide if the ask is real.

13D plus the letter

The 13D is the stake and the purpose. The letter is the ask: board seats, a sale, a split, a buyback. AyeWatch watches public EDGAR pages, activist sites you paste, and news that quotes a new letter. It summarizes who filed, on whom, and what the public documents say they want. It is not a 20-year campaign scorecard. It is not MNPI.

Name issuers. Name the funds whose letters you already take seriously. "All activists" will drown you in 13Gs and tiny stakes.

Campaign days

Topic: "Alert me when these funds file a 13D or publish a campaign letter on these issuers. Ignore explainers about activism as an asset class." Add the fund's press URL. Add the issuer EDGAR page.

Form mechanics: SEC filing monitoring. Sale outcomes: mergers and acquisitions monitoring. Sometimes the same week also shows a cluster of Form 4 buys. That is research context, not a bundled trade.

How to watch

Concentrated book first. Push. Free Preview is six lifetime runs across three topics. Pro is $9 a month when the issuer list grows. ASAP on Max or Ultra if you live in event names. Most people can read a 13D an hour late and still be ahead of the roundup.

Not a rumor feed

Pre-filing gossip is cheap. AyeWatch should stay quiet until a public document or a named letter exists. If you want rumors, you already have Twitter. If you want the filing, write the topic so rumor pieces fail the filter. The first useful ping is a 13D or a letter you can open. Everything else is decoration.
